Abstract :
A compact ultra-wideband (UWB) Bandpass filter with 4.6-10.6 GHz suitable for an ultra-wideband (UWB) application is presented. The filter is developed by using microstrip T-shaped triple-mode resonator doublets. It consists of two parallel but oppositely T-shaped resonators, and has a significantly widened passband. An UWB filter is designed by substituting the T-shaped stub for the open-ended stub. A T-shaped stub is added to the coupling lines to create two strong reflection zeros in passband and two sharp transmission zeros at the band edge. The filter has a passband covering 4.6-10.6GHz, and exhibits sharp attenuations near its passband.
