Abstract :
In this paper, a smart adapter for seamless transmission of IP packets between end to end systems over an error prone half duplex wireless link is proposed. The performance of TCP/IP reduces over wireless links as TCP is basically designed to handle packet loss due to congestion rather than due to high error rates. Performance of half duplex wireless link has been improved using smart adapter.
