Abstract
A new accurate analysis model of the IEEE 802.11 DCF is presented. The analysis model is based on a close observation of the IEEE 802.11 DCF behavior. We observe that an infinite number of probabilities of collision need to be defined to accurately represent the behavior of the IEEE 802.11 DCF. Simulation results are included to verify the analytical results.
