  • Abstract
    For the particular application in infrared camera based electronic whiteboard, a simple and rapid method of target recognition is proposed to address the conflict between accuracy and speed of identification, which is based on the pixels´ sparse characteristic in gray scale distribution and space distribution. An experimental platform is built to verify the method. The method is proved to be capable of achieving a high processing speed of 70 fps under the premise of accurate identification in the worst condition and be insensitive of change of lighting condition.
