Abstract :
In this paper, the basic theory of overlapping frames spectrum analysis is introduced, and the criteria of overlap factor selection is discussed in detail. Further, the design scheme of overlapping frames spectrum analysis is proposed. The design scheme is successfully implemented by Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) in the real-time spectrum analyzer. The experimental results verify the proposed algorithm, and overlapping frames spectrum analysis can achieve the broadening on the time domain for signal spectrum analysis.
