Abstract :
A key system component in many advanced RF sources and beam devices is a high brightness photoinjector producing a high quality electron beam. The principal component is the photocathode producing electron bunches using the photoelectric effect. This research is developing photocathodes with high quantum efficiency and lifetimes far exceeding existing technology.
