Abstract :
A detailed experimental study of the operational capability of a prototype modular-gyrotron for 400MHz DNP/NMR spectroscopy is presented. Results show that the tube matches the specifications in term of nominal power, tunability, frequency purity and stability. In a different range of operating parameters, non-stationary operating regimes are observed.
