  • Abstract
Specific matters concerning the electromagnetic disturbances introduced in an a.c. network by an IRC 5000 static converter are presented. The introduced disturbances are determined and reported to the standard CISPR 11/1997. The disturbances transmitted through conduction along the phase R, without anti-disturbances actions, are represented. Considering the experimental determinations, one considered as appropriate the realization of a filter that should cover the frequency range from 150 kHz to 30 MHz, in order to obey the electromagnetic compatibility standards. Tests after filter installation where also performed. One determined the insertion loss and could notice that the compatibility standards for the specified type of equipment (CISPR 11, Group 1&2, Class B - limits for mains interference voltage (conducted emissions)) are obeyed.
