Abstract
The dielectric function of the IR nonlinear optical crystal BaTeMo2O9 is obtained by performing a Kramers-Kronig transformation from the measured infrared reflectivity. With the assistant of first principle calculation, the phonon modes are assigned, which is fundamental to confirming the SOJT distortions.
