Abstract :
Power measurement standard above 110 GHz is undefined even if we want to measure the power of an electromagnetic wave at the frequency. To measure the wave by using a spectrum analyzer, an external mixer was needed. In this paper, we determine the conversion losses of a mixer used with a spectrum analyzer to measure power at mm-wave frequencies. We determine the mixer conversion losses by a 3-mixer method that is based on different combinations of the 3 mixers. We then evaluate the measurement uncertainty.
