  • Abstract
    The Micro-Monitor is a miniaturized data processing system, which was developed for the requirements in the field of ambulatory patient-monitoring. The Micro-Monitor is based on a 8-bit single-chip-microcomputer with RAM, ROM, input/output-ports, timer, and integrated analog-digital conversion (ADC). The system contains a 128 kbyte CMOS-SRAM, a real-time-clock, and an electrocardiogram-amplifier. Via 7 miniature connectors, various transducers can be connected for the combined monitoring of different physiological signals. A nearly unlimited number of operation modes can be defined by software. The 250 mAh rechargeable battery packet powers the microcomputer with its transducers and amplifiers for several days
