Abstract :
In this paper, image reconstruction of breast cancer detector using microwave tomography is investigated. The breast cancer detection system under development uses 16 transmit/receive antennas. This is the microwave tomography system operating in the frequency range of 500-3000 MHz. To solve a 2D inverse scattering problem, we tried two methods. One is the method of moment for forward problem and the Simplex method as optimization algorithm. The other is the FDTD(Finite Difference Time Domain) method and Gauss- Newton algorithm. The results of the reconstructed image showed that we can detect the position of the tumor exactly.
