Abstract
The paper studies the parameter fitting problems of a typical nonlinear system. Two equation converted methods are used to convert the nonlinear fitting problem to the linear fitting one which is easy to solve. Then using the negative gradient searching and Newton iteration theory, we derive the gradient and Newton estimation algorithms to determine the parameters of the nonlinear system. Furthermore, the performances of the proposed approaches are analyzed and compared using a numerical example.
