Abstract
A system has been developed for aiding the analysis of Thallium-201 myocardial images. The system automatically localizes the outer boundary of the myocardium using novel ellipse fitting algorithms, allows convolution and morphological filtering of the 201Th images, and provides an extensible platform for the investigation of automated protocols for quantitative analysis. The system has the capability to perform analyses on the localized regions and generate a three-dimensional display from the cardiac projections
