Abstract :
Multicarrier DS-CDMA systems combine OFDM techniques and DS-CDMA to provide advantages of both. OFDM is now regarded as a feasible alternative to the single carrier modulation techniques for high data rate communication systems mainly because of its inherent equalization simplicity. In this paper we present the channel estimation techniques for MC-DS-CDMA systems to significantly improve the capacity of DS-CDMA communications. Simulation result shows that the improved LMMSE channel estimation can provide better bit error rate performance in comparison with the conventional channel estimation method.
