Abstract :
In order to fill the gap of the demand scale calculation method in the public transfer region in the engineer feasibility and preliminary design stage of the comprehensive passenger centre, the calculation basis is studied. According to the level of service of each transport mode, the influencing factors and the reference values are presented. The public transfer region is divided into three categories: the distributed transfer flat facilities, solid facilities and the induced passenger public facilities in terms of the service functions and the passenger flow characteristics, and the corresponding calculation methods of the facility demand building scales are proposed and analyzed. Taking the Changzhou comprehensive passenger centre along the Shanghai-Nanjing intercity railway as instance, the demand building scales of the public transfer region are analyzed and calculated according to the transfer volume prediction results by applying the methods to the article. The effectiveness of the demand scale calculation method is demonstrated and the methods can be the fundamental basis in determining the architectural composition and the traffic streamline organization in the comprehensive passenger centre.
