Abstract :
A 2.5-dimensional frequency-domain large-signal traveling-wave tube (TWT) simulation code is presented. The code integrates various features of the TWT, including the electron gun, permanent magnets, and pole pieces. It enables the user to change various parameters and observe the effect on output power, phase, and mode purity. Among those parameters are magnetic strength, magnetic periodicity, various electron guns, circuit dimensions, and circuit RF characteristics.<>
