Abstract :
In view of the high traffic accident rate at intersection, a vehicle trajectory collision warning system based on Vehicle Infrastructure Integration (VII) system is proposed in order to improve the traffic safety. After analyzing the system function, physical and logical framework of the system has been designed in detail. The trajectory prediction method is based on vehicle to vehicle (V2V) wireless communication. And vehicle collision can be detected in real time by the collision detection algorithm proposed in this paper. Furthermore, time to collision (TTC) as collision risk indicator is calculated to judge the vehicular collision, and the system is able to make a warning to driver according to the value of TTC.
