Abstract :
3-D structure model of Electrostatic Fabric Filter was established, by which the numerical simulation of airflow distribution in the junction was carried on. A 2-equation model was adopted to simulate the flow field, and the computation was based on the SIMPLE algorithm. The flow deflector in the junction of Electrostatic and Fabric Filter was designed to 4 different angles. The simulation results show that: when the velocity in the electric field is 1 m/s and the angle of the flow deflector is 45deg, the air distribution from the ESP into the fabric filter room is more uniform; when the velocity in the electric field is 0.5 m/s and the angle of the flow deflector is 55deg, the air distribution from the ESP into the fabric filter room is more uniform; when the velocity in the electric field is 1.5 m/s and the angle of the flow deflector is 35deg, the air distribution from the ESP into the fabric filter room is more uniform. The numerical simulation results are reasonable and can be used as the reference to optimize the designing of Electrostatic Fabric Filter.
