Abstract :
Launch platform development and integration commonly relies on the use of actual munitions hardware. Simulators provide a more effective development and test solution. Although launch platforms must ultimately be tested with actual munitions, simulation based test equipment that communicates with the launch platform´s interface like the actual mission store offers significant capability and cost advantages. Operational testing of launch platform weapon stations are typically performed via static checks of signal presence. This test approach is inadequate for MIL-STD-1760 weapons that require dynamic simulation of the mission store in order to ensure mission readiness
