  • Abstract
    Electron-beam irradiation cross-linking high density polyethylene (HDPE) is a kind of ideal material suited for insulation of high voltage internal connected wires used in some electronic and electrical instrument. But the stability of electron-beam irradiation processing of HDPE before modifying is not good enough. This article has studied the effect of some weak polar polyolefin on the mechanical properties of electron-beam irradiation cross-linking HDPE. We have found suitable modifying material and content of it. We also have studied the effect of some antioxidant on the effectiveness of electron-beam irradiation cross-linking of HDPE. By comprehensive researching we have defined the formula of electron-beam irradiation cross-linking HDPE. Now the high voltage wires we produced not only have enough electrical properties but also have excellent mechanical and high temperature cut-through resistance properties
