  • Abstract
    Partial discharges (PD) due to electrical treeing in polymers have been investigated. The measurement results showed that the applied voltage and its the time derivative played important roles in the PD. Based on the findings, a model for electrical treeing discharge was proposed and a computer simulation by using various waveforms was carried out. The effects of applied voltage on the PD magnitude and PD number were discussed
