Abstract :
Cellular neural networks (CNN) are used to extract the focused objects from the defocused background. Five sets of templates are used to diminish the defocused background, to find the boundary of the focused region, to locate the region of the focused objects and to extract the focused objects. Simulated results shows that the methods works well
