Abstract :
The systems constructed on the base of type-1 Fuzzy Logic Systems (FLS) cannot completely handle the uncertainties associated with information or data in the knowledge base of the process. In This work, a new approach for a Non-Linear Continuous Stirred Tank Heater (CSTH) identification using Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic System (IT2FLS) is presented. Three versions of the IT2FLSs were used to perform system identification of a Non-Linear CSTH when the available data is corrupted by additive noise in both the measured data and calibration model of the temperature instrument of the CSTH simulated model. Based on the simulation results, the IT2FLS methods demonstrate improved performance over the type-1 FLS identification approaches.
