Abstract :
In this paper, some meaningful issues concerning the measurement of radiated emissions generated by large apparatus for heavy industrial applications are discussed. The study initiated to define practical hints for the mitigation of EMC problems associated to large dimensions machines, and led back to investigate about useful methods for radiated emissions measurement, other than the Open Area Test Sites (OATS). The configuration analyzed represents a “worst case” situation for the apparatus both for emission and immunity.
