Abstract :
Presents a timing generator IC for a high-resolution 768 H*492 V pixels CCD imager. As the output pulses of the IC are generated by an on-chip ROM, their timing can be changed with ease by reprogramming. The IC has been miniaturized to a very small quad flat package by utilizing the ROM. The authors show a peripheral block diagram of the timing generator IC, operation is synchronized by signals from an external sync generator IC. The timing generator IC generates clock pulses for the CCD imager and sampling pulses for the CCD output signal. The authors also show the block diagram of the IC which uniquely includes phase adjustment inverters.<>
