Abstract :
The advantages of sequential over interlaced scan for any type of digital processing are well known but its penalty is the doubled bandwidth. A sequential 4-channel camera, which avoids this penalty, is presented and the three camera types-interlaced, sequential, 4-channel-are compared with regard to temporal and spatial resolution.<>
