Abstract :
Routing protocols play an important role in ad-hoc networks. The routing protocol AODV has been implemented on different platforms. These AODV implementations operate, roughly speaking, at layer 3 of the OSI Reference Model, and have several disadvantages. We have experimented with an implementation of an AODV-like routing protocol at layer 2 to show that such disadvantages can be avoided.
