Abstract
This paper proposes a 2-Level eXclusive-OR Chain-based μTESLA (Timed Efficient Stream Loss-tolerant Authentication) broadcast authentication protocol, with advantages, such as a lower computation complexity and less communication overhead, compared to the μTPCT (μTESLA Parameters Hash Chain Merkle Tree)-based μTESLA. It also is tolerant to the long-term data loss. Additionally, we show the security of the proposed protocol is as strong as the existing typical schemes.
