Abstract :
An approach is given for determining those measurement signals necessary for the a priori identifiability of the unknown subsystems and noise signals in large scale systems. It requires the solution of a nonlinear matrix equation system. To perform the test of a priori identifiability automatically by means of a computer a formula manipulation system was developed. It realizes the determination of those signals which should be measured for a favourable identification strategy. The approach is illustrated for the unknown subsystems and noise signals of a hierarchically structured system consisting of three levels
