  • Abstract
We present the formulations of piecewise linear recursive revolution (PLRC) method for implementing the Drude-Lorentz model of dispersive media in finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. A Krestschmann-type surface plasmon resonance (SPR) device is simulated to verify our FDTD code. The FDTD simulation of surface plasmons (SPs) enhanced focus excited by radially polarized evanescent focal beam is demonstrated and discussed. The super-resolved SPs focus phenomenon can be interpreted in terms of the SPs dispersion relation satisfied by the thin ring beam illumination.
