Abstract :
The theory of a waveguide sample holder in the millimeter waveband is introduced. The authors present a new method for designing the sample holder for measuring material properties. To insert the sample vertically in a regular waveguide sample holder, a dielectric window is adopted to fix the sample which is theoretically analyzed. Polytetrafluorethylene is chosen as the material of the window dielectric with a width of 3 mm and length of 2 mm
