Abstract :
Braking control system plays a very important role in the safety of Ladle crane system; however it often has the wrong operation which affects the normal manufacture seriously, in addition there exist impact which may damage the equipment when braking. All of these make user lose confidence in it. Motivated by this fact, a practical detecting strategy of mechanical failure is proposed to maximize reliability of braking system and reduce wrong operation. Meanwhile based on the time of service brakes accomplishing deceleration, the lag time of emergency brakes´ operation is selected carefully to minimize impact. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed braking control system.
