Abstract
To meet the growing demand for terabit speeds, WDM LANs with multi-hop logical topologies have gained momentum as they only require slowly tuneable transmitters and receivers. The reconfiguration process in present logical topologies changes the links of many nodes and may lead to divergence of the reconfiguration process. To overcome this problem, a WDM LAN with dynamically changeable structure called the reconfigurable circulant graph (RCG) is developed. The throughput and average packet delay performance of the proposed network are found to be superior to that of the Torus network and comparable to that of circulant graph
