Abstract
This paper presents the possibility of applying the sliding mode method for synthesis of the automatic search extreme system. Is shown, the use of the output characteristic gradient estimation allows to transform the plant and to reduce an initial synthesis problem to the usual stabilization task. The basic properties of the closed-loop extreme system are considered. Some recommendations for physical realization of the control law are given.
