Abstract :
We investigate blind adaptive multiuser detection with interference rejection in direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) cellular communication systems. A general approach is presented, which is independent of the information transmission rate of the systems. For multiuser detection, the DS-CDMA channel is first modeled into a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) signal model framework. Then, based on a decision feedback equalizer (DFE), multiuser information symbols can be recovered without any prior knowledge of the channel and the users´ signature waveforms (including the desired user´s signature waveform). Simulation results illustrate good performance of the proposed method, and the proposed method can be effectively used in both low-rate and high-rate DS-CDMA systems, which provides it a broader use in practical scenarios.
