Abstract
In this work, conventional air sintering and Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) are used to obtain zinc oxide based varistors with the same initial formulation and equivalent grain size. A comparison of the electrical properties, show a significant change in the potential barrier behaviour, by cons a weak effect of sintering conditions is observed on the frequency characteristic.
