Abstract :
Sports bras are specifically designed to offer appropriate amount of support and protection for breasts during moderate to intense physical activities. They are the most important instruments for athletes both from the excising satisfaction point and comfortable aspect. It´s well proofed that the more vigorous the exercises that athletes take, the serious the breasts injuries could be caused without the assistance of outside support, especially for the plump ones. Fitness and comfortable sports bras are inevitably required in the costume market. Many researches have been done to insight the ways to solve the problems. They all focused on the fitness and comfort function of sports bras, which are mainly engaged on ergonomics studies of females´ torso. Bio-measurement on the torso is especially considered as one fundamental technology in these studies to provide primary information. Consequently promising products of sports bras with relatively fine properties were developed. This paper made an overview on the current researches and achievements on such sports bra, the methodologies and innovation in the exploration were introduced such as biomedical mechanisms theory, 3D dynamic simulation, the innovation of pattern structure and functional fabric materials, which endow the functional sports bra products with extraordinary power to support and protect females breasts against sports injuries.
