Abstract :
This article deals with wireless communications performed by infrared impulses. The collaboration between several emitters working in parallel with each other, is studied with the aim of increasing the range of infrared links and reducing the number of hidden terminals. The criterion which is used to start the transmitters working synchronously is based on the detection of a pattern preceding each transmitted frame. This principle is developed from the characteristics of HDLC frames. An architecture is proposed for the physical layer of the communicating entities from which an estimation of data rate is deduced. On these hypotheses, a simulation carried out on a simple configuration allowed us to estimate the effects of this synchronization technique
