  • Abstract
    In the actual measurement of random fluctuations, measured data are very often processed in a level-quantized form at discrete time intervals. In this paper, a precise estimation method for the mutual relationship between the sound and electromagnetic (EM) fluctuation waves is proposed by use of a new procedure for estimating the precise level distribution from roughly quantized level data. More specifically, a general theory for finding a precise regression relationship between these fluctuations is proposed by using the precise estimation method of conditional probability with use of the roughly quantized data. The effectiveness of the proposed method is experimentally confirmed by applying it to the actual sound and EM fluctuation waves measured in front of VDT
