  • Abstract
This paper adopts inadequate mixture solution with reference to basic convection equation to conduct studies on the constituents and distribution of confluent pollutant flux in Taihu Lake and the appropriate method for diffusion error reduction. It puts forward the method for computation of concentration of inadequately-mixed section for application to the studies on the confluent pollutant flux of major river channels in southern Jiangsu and joining to Taihu Lake. It also concludes through computations the five constituents of pollutant flux of river channels in southern Jiangsu and joining to Taihu Lake in the respective context of hydrological year of high, normal and low rainfall, i.e. the content of pollutants from industrial point sources, drainage area surface sources, undisturbed river channel condition, water inflow from the Yangtze and water inflow from the northern mountainous region. It also conducts analyses on its rationality by the use of the surveillance data of confluent pollutant flux from the 25 major rivers joining to Taihu Lake in Jiangsu in 2002 released by Jiangsu Provincial Environmental Surveillance Center.
