Abstract :
We design a model following optimal multivariable boiler-turbine H control system which has robust stability to a modeling error and satisfactory command tracking performance in spite of nonlinearity of the system. This boiler-turbine H control system is designed by applying a genetic algorithm (GA) to the optimal determination of the weighting functions W1(s), W2(s), and the design parameter γ that are given by Glover-Doyle algorithm. To follow the output of the reference model optimally, these are optimized simultaneously in the search domain which guarantees the robust stability of the system. The effectiveness of this boiler-turbine H control system is verified and compared with that of boiler-turbine LQG/LTR control system by computer simulation.
