Abstract :
Formaldehyde release not only pollutes indoor environment, but also severely impairs health of human body. Therefore, a novel technology using the mold pressing was introduced to realize binder-less agglutination in wood-based panel and to earnestly safeguard the health of consumer and the indoor environment. Thermo-gravimetric analysis and conventional measurement were performed to determine the physical and mechanical properties of wood-ceramics body. The results show that temperature, time and pressure of moulding process all have significant effect on physical-mechanical properties, and that the mechanical properties of new binder-less wood-ceramics body is superior to traditional medium density fiberboard.
