            Abstract :
Oxygen transfer was limited in aerobic granules by compact microbial spatial structure. Supposed aerobic granules were spherical, a simplified equation of mass balance for steady-state diffusion of oxygen were set up. The more oxygen concentration and concentration gradient, the stronger and the further oxygen could penetrate. When radii were very small, oxygen could be fully penetrated into granules. Comparing the oxygen consummation rate calculated by modeling with the date from experiment, the model was verified.
