Abstract :
We propose a reconfigurable control method using an eigenstructure assignment scheme. The fault isolation filter proposed previously by the authors should be employed in order to use the method. The filter shows a good fault isolation result with exact eigenstructure assignment capability. In the proposed reconfigurable control method, an additional control input is employed using the outputs of the fault isolation filter. The proposed method guarantees that if the system has M control inputs, (M-1) states can be decoupled with the fault input and these states can be selected freely by a designer.
