Abstract
We propose a spatial spreading associative neural network that recognizes the face orientation (isomorphic rotation) and shape. As the result of recognition of rotated face image, this neural net can simultaneously recognize the orientation of the face irrespective of its shape and its shape irrespective of its orientation. The neural net spread the information of axis orientation of the face on surrounding space by spreading weight that has similar tuning characteristic to axis orientation selective neurons in the parietal cortex
