Abstract :
The concentrations of 15 blood plasma trace elements such as copper, zinc, selenium and so on in 95 women patients with lung cancer and 93 controls were determined by microwave-ICP-MS, where lung cancer mortality was among China´s highest and especially in females. T test, non-condition multivariable logistic regression analysis and multiple correlation analysis were used to analyze the data. The results showed that blood plasma copper concentration in patients increased while zinc, selenium and antimony concentrations decreased. The analytical result of non-condition logistic multiple factors indicated that the copper concentration of blood plasma might be a risk factor for lung cancer while the zinc and selenium concentration might be the protective factors on the contrary. The result of multiple correlation analysis showed significant negative correlation were observed between copper and zinc while positive correlation between zinc and selenium. Results also showed that the positive rate of lung cancer was 84.2% according to the upper threshold of copper/zinc ratio in the control group. And the copper/zinc ratio would be of great value in the diagnoses of lung cancer.
