Abstract :
Several options of LAN (local area network) internetworking using a VSAT (very small aperture terminal) network are analyzed. An overview of the implementation scenarios is provided, followed by a description of the VSAT concepts. The protocols involved in the test configuration are described, stressing the critical parameters and highlighting the location of bottlenecks in the system. Some conclusions are presented on the features and limitations of the system and its efficiency
