A scheme for efficient data dissemination in ad hoc networks

This work presents an approach to improve indexing performance by using a replication technique. This technique of caching hot items is called hot-caching. It exploits only the otherwise unused area of each page of an indexing structure by storing hot data items and make them efficiently accessible. In Broadcast dissemination environments the cached hot items are broadcasted from hot-cache. The paper presents the algorithms for hot-caching and creation of index trees and broadcasted sequences.
