Abstract
This paper presents the application of simple multiplierless filters that decrease the passband droop and increase alias rejection in the folding bands of comb filters. Comparisons with some methods proposed in literature are also included, showing the benefit of the proposed approach. It is also proved that the method is convenient for the traditional non-recursive comb structure with a decimation factor that is a power of two. In that way, the magnitude characteristics of the structure are significantly improved, while keeping power efficiency of the original structure, by placing three simple filters in the last two stages.
